About:

Deb started fishing in the Florida Keys at a young age of five on family summer vacations where she fell in love with saltwater fishing, after graduating college and a 15 year career in Nursing in North Carolina, she decided that she wanted to pursue her love of fishing full time.

In the summer of 2017, Deb moved to the Florida Keys, got her start in the sportfishing world by working in the tackle shop at Bud N Mary’s Marina and began fishing with legendary fly fishing guide and mentor, Capt Richard Stanczyk, who showed her the light of true sport fishing on the flats around Islamorada.

After earning her captain’s license, Capt Deb started her own fishing charter business in June 2020, Blue Water Girl Charters, based out of the Upper Keys, including Key Largo and Islamorada.

You can find Capt Deb hunting the flats, deep in the backcountry or even sail fishing on the reef!
Capt Deb has a technical poling skiff, 16′ Chaos Boatwork Bonefish with a 60hp Yamaha and she also runs a 32′ Game fisherman Sportfish named “Gypsy Girl”.
